An event to enjoy cover songs of your favourite stars, by your favourite cover band every Saturday evening courtesy of thebooth Live Bands.

The night is an Open Mic themed event – Basically Karaoke with a Live Band on a Saturday night in Nairobi Kenya.

How is Live Band Saturday at The ROAST Tatu City?

The event features a live band that usually consists of a Keyboardist, Drummer and Singer. The talented keyboardist doubles as a bassist. The band usually starts slow to give patrons time to relax from a busy day. The first set features a lot of instrumentals and especially Jazz covers. They then add intensity as the night unwinds leading to a lively upbeat set towards the end the show. By this time the patrons have relaxed and want to dance the night away.

The highlight of Saturday Live Band night however, is the fact that patrons are welcome to sing with the band! People travel from all over the city to partake in this lovely event. Many come to sing but others play an instrument as well.

Sometimes a group of musician friends come together and take over the stage!

There is playback music thereafter to entertain the patrons for the rest of the night.

The cover band plays a mix of genres: JAZZ, Rock, Blues, Soul, Pop, RNB, Rhumba, Reggae, Afro Fusion, Afrobeats / Naija, Bongo, Kwaito and they also take requests!

Ps. Once in a while a guest Saxophone player or guitarist is invited to jam with the band at Saturday Live Band Nairobi.

The event is run by thebooth Live Bands and is hosted at The ROAST by Carnivore  – a rustic venue in the heart of Tatu City. An upscale up and coming neighbourhood in Nairobi Kenya.
